Being Sakae! A Treat from Kevin

Dear Kevin:

Thanks for getting me the job. Thanks for getting me back to KL and most importantly thanks for treating me sushi! I know Zanmai is you favorite but then because of the queue we had to go Sakae instead. I'm still loving it :D

This is my first time ever in Sakae Sushi, thanks Kev! I love to talk but I think pictures are more interesting, haha.

PS: I didn't know all the dishes' name. So if you do, please let me know :D

Until the next mail, bye for now =)

Back in KL

Dear Kevin:

Finally after all the long talk, I am now in KL. I am at Sunway to be exact. I got a job with an European supplier for construction company called Hilti. Its a part time job that pays really well if compared to all the job that I've done before. RM7 per hour.

Well for the time being, I will be doing data entry for the marketing department and not phone calls like I was expected to. Its a really easy job but I hate decyphering handwriting! If only there was a course that teach you how to write properly on papers.

I'm planning to get an extra part time job around Sunway Pyramid. Plane ticket cost me a lot to come here, and thats another story to be tell next time. Perhaps something on the night shift and during weekends. Cinema is my main target, cause I want to have that benefit of being able to watch movie for free, haha.

Oh yes! Iphone 4! I get the chance to actually hold it in my hand, trying out the features and all, and I SUPER LOVE IT. Haha, once I hold it, its already as if I own one before. I am very familiar with iPhone without even having one before :P

The camera is awesome. Fast and clearer than crystal clear! 5 megapixel of awesomeness! Tap to focus, zooming, front camera, flash and to me, iPhone has reached a real satisfaction in its cameras. Its like carrying a digital camera with you everywhere, and ready to snap at anytime. Most importantly, the quality is magnifico!

I even tried to record video and it is in HD! Didn't get the chance to tried the movie maker application yet, but I heard its something that a person MUST try. Awesome sound system, and undenyably that its like having an iPod touch with you around.

I am seriously determine to get an iPhone 4. Might get a DiGi package because of its lower monthly payment compared to Maxis. When will I get it? The initial plan was on the 20102010 but since I used of most of my money on plane ticket, I might have to reconsider another date.

All in all this week is actually the most rushing week for me. Everything was done in last minute. Asking for a job in the morning, by afternoon the job was confirm, bought ticket at 3PM, saying goodbye to friends, tell the whole thing to mom and dad, cried, woke up late in the morning, rush for haircut, rush for bus, reached KK and spend some time with my brother, spend time with friends, miss flight, bought new ticket, sleeping throughout the flight, reach LCCT, take bus to KL Sentral, the bus is taking a different route than the last time I was here, reached and I was being pick up by my aunt. Start working tomorrow!

I guess thats all for now :D

Until the next mail, bye for now =)

My Working Life

Dear Kevin:

I guess I'll be mailing you my update on every weekend. Its something I usually do back in CG last time. It didn't go on long enough to become a habit back then, hopefully it will be one this time, cause its really a great way to keep track of myself.

Nothing much happened to me this week considering that I'm still jobless. Looks like the Samsung has switched to a different company which handles its HR department, and they gave me a call again about the opening for their new branch here in Keningau. She asked me to send in my resume. So I did and then thats that. No news after that.

Not putting my hope so high on Samsung, I did went to look for other jobs. I went back to my previous workplace and the job that could have been mine is already been given away to someone else. Well, its not a surprise to me since it took me awhile to give them an answer, but whats shocked me is what my previous HOD comments about me getting back my job there.

They had a small farewell for me when I decided to leave the company and my HOD gave a short speech about my work there. She gave out all the good stuff, about how hardworking I am, how willing I am to learn, my quality of work, and I am so moved by her speech. I do believe I am THAT good, haha.

Well I thought she really appreciate my work there, not until I heard what my friend in the office have to said to me. The HOD completely trash me in front of our manager, saying how worse I am and how my work is all half hearted. Its a complete bullshit, all my colleagues know that! I am really glad that someone stood up for me.

The only reason why I think the HOD did that is because I am way qualified enough to take her place. I am a treat to her. I am not bragging but thats what I think and what everyone there thinks too. She's been there for so long, no improvement and yet more feud than ever.

Its too bad that she already had some sort of mutual agreement with the manager about how she could hold on to the position no matter how terrible her work is. I know it makes no sense but thats the story that goes around the company. So by default, the HOD is untouchable.

She's the one who in a hurried recommended just about anyone to take up the opening there, just to prevent me from going back into the company. You know, the funny thing is that I always stood up for her no matter what all the bad things that people said about her in the company, cause I don't judge a person just from what people are saying about them. Seriously, no heart feeling Ms Alisiah. Thanks for teaching me a valuable lesson in life.

So, Kev... talking about in the world and not of the world... reality is never easy. I end up filling a form to work in a place like 7E, for RM450-RM500 a month and I might have to work a graveyard shift. I guess its much better than staying at home with no income at all. Well, still didn't know if I got the job or not.

Pray for me brother, and hopefully I could save up enough money to buy my way out of here, haha. I guess that's just about it this week.

Until the next mail, bye for now =)

Very Much Pissed Off

Dear Kevin:

I'm really pissed off with whoever person in charge of the interview between Samsung and me. They are really a son of a gun!

One phone call after another they keep passing me around like a ball, and finally I've reached someone who doesn't know a shit of what's going on. So I stop calling and refuse to be treated like a desperate college dropouts who's willing to die for a job.

That was somewhere in July, and I only found out that their branch here in Keningau is not going to open until somewhere at the end of September, which is somewhere around this week period. Now only the representative busy calling me back for interview.

He said he'll call back on Monday, and when he didn't call me, I called him. Guess what? He asked me did a phone number from KL called me before this, and I said no. So he asked me to wait for that phone call first.

Today is Wednesday. So its only after two days, but seriously I am very much agitated cause I could get another job somewhere else, but of course the pay is a lot cheaper than what I could get with Samsung.

The feeling of insecurity is very much SUCK! I need to know that I have a job before the start of next month! I don't want to wait anymore and its sucks to deal with phone call that kept giving me false hope. So I'm going for the low pay job. Beside, its only for a few month just to get back on my financial feet.

I'm migrating for sure. Just needed to settle a few things here. Especially debts and identity crisis, haha. I guess that all for now. Do write back to me :D

Until next mail, bye for now =)

My First 3D Movie Experience

Dear Kevin:

How are you bro? Its been a busy week for me lately. A lot of travelling and hell lot of expenses too, haha.

So last week just before we went to Simpang Mengayau at Kudat, we spend a night in KK and after a super long while I've been absence from the cinema, I manage to persuade everyone to go for a movie that night. Resident Evil: Afterlife in 3D baby!

The sad case is, it was a last minute decision so the only available seat that we manage to get is the front row. Yes, the first line, the one where it will either get your neck hurt or your back pain. I just don't care anymore cause all I want is MOVIE in the cinema of course.

It was my first time watching a movie in 3D so I'm really excited about it. Super excited :D

You don't have to wait for the actual movie to start to enjoy the 3D experience, the trailers itself is magnificent! Especially the 'Legend of the Guardians' trailer. Its animation but when you put on the 3D glasses, its just become so surreal. It is as if you could touch the things that pop out from the screen. I know I did reach out my hand and try to see if I can really feel it, hahahaha.

The first 10 or 20 minute of  the actual movie, I was busy dodging bullets and hira-shurikens. After I get used to the whole 3D thing, I was busy being startled by the girls' screaming somewhere behind me, when each time a zombie pop out suddenly. I think most of us is trying to avoid the huge axe that was thrown 'right at us' by the giant zombie, haha.

All in all, watching movie in 3D really gives a whole new experience in the cinema. I love it, and I would be so damn sure that I will come back for more. I guess movie in 3D is like a roller coaster, you can't take a ride on it if you have a heart attack! Haha.

Until next mail, bye for now =)
